The importance of grooming

I don’t step out unless I’m looking and feeling my best and good grooming (plus a little pampering!) is an
important part of keeping me clean and healthy. It also provides an ideal opportunity for you to spend
some quality time with me. Even better, a little grooming is also a subtle moment for you to check my skin
and coat for the presence of tangles, fleas or other irritants that may be troubling me.

Being gently brushed is almost like getting a full body massage! Not only does a good brush help keep
my hair tangle free, but it also helps to evenly distribute my body's natural oils to keep my coat healthy and
shiny - just the way I like it.

Good brushing tips

Sitting still can be difficult, so before starting a grooming session
with me, let’s take a stroll together, so I’m nice and relaxed and
ready for a gentle, soothing rub down.

Start from my head and work the brush down my body, always in the
direction of my hair growth. Concentrating on the areas where my hair
can often become tangled, such as my legs.

At the end of a long day you love relaxing in the tub and occasionally I also need a good soak. Gently rinse my coat with warm water, but please try to avoid getting water in my ears. Apply my special shampoo in small amounts, being careful not to get any in my eyes. Soothingly massage it into my coat - particularly around my bottom, between my toes and around my mouth. Then thoroughly rinse out all the shampoo and gently towel me dry. Now I’m ready to make an appearance anywhere!
